| 内容記述 | Roberts, Strand and Bermeister demonstrated a method to scale and map the formally qualitative concept, "systemic culture pattern." The technique seems to be useful for application to other fields of study, especially anthropology. However, the procedure presented in their paper is too complicated and the quantity of data too large to be applied easily, owing to the extensive use of the computer that it demands. In this short paper their research design is reviewed, and scaling and quality of data is discussed. In order to use the technique in practical research, a smaller scale research design (Coffee and Doughnut Project) has been undertaken with experimental groups in Japan and the U.S.A. |
