| 内容記述 | This paper discusses film editing from the perspective of anthropological research. Film editing has been compared with the art of tailoring. Ethnological research requires accurate data, rather than "charming" anecdote. Accuracy must therefore predominate during shooting. But creation of a good image requires sensitive cutting. A good ethnographical film maker should think historically, using a "montage," characteristic of the work of Dziga Vertov, and of others. This paper considers several examples of ethnographic film. |
