| 内容記述 | 漢族の一集団である客家は，19 世紀より，欧米，中国，日本の学者により研 究されており，その研究動向は，日本でもよく知られるものとなっている。し かしながら，日本では，それ以外の国々，例えば東南アジア諸国で，客家研究 がどのように展開されてきたのかが，まだ十分に把握されていない。筆者の調 査によると，近年，特に多くの客家が居住するシンガポールやマレーシアでは， 客家と客家研究がますます注目を集めており，その研究成果は，客家団体の活 動，博物館での展示などにも活かされている。こうした状況を見据えて，本稿 は，シンガポールとマレーシアにおける客家研究の動向を紹介することで，日 本ではまだ知られることの少ない東南アジア客家研究の現在を考察する。 |

| 内容記述 | The Hakka, an ethnic group of the Han, have been studied by scholars from Europe, America, Japan and China. These studies are well known in Japan. However, Japanese scholars have still not fully caught up with Hakka studies in the countries of Southeast Asia. According to my recent research, some scholars in Singapore and Malaysia, where many Hakka people live, have started to pay attention to such studies. They use academic accomplishments to show the activities of Hakka circles and exhibitions from Chinese museums. This article aims at introducing new perspectives on studies of Chinese overseas, by focusing especially on those conducted in Singapore and Malaysia. |
