| 内容記述 | マレーシアのマレー半島部には,マレー系,華人系,インド系という3つの 主要民族集団が住んでいると言われている。しかし,マレー半島には,3つの 主要民族集団とは別にさまざまな少数民族が住んでいる。その一つが本稿で対 象とするオラン・アスリである。彼らの生活世界については,これまで多くの 研究が蓄積されている。近年,開発やイスラーム化などの外部からの介入に よって,彼らの従来の生活は大きく変貌し,かつてのオラン・アスリの世界は 消滅しつつある。彼らは,「文化喪失」の状況に置かれていると言えよう。 本稿では,ドリアン・タワール村におけるフィールドワークに基づいたデー タによって,オラン・アスリの生活世界の現在を明らかにすることを目的とす る。用いるデータは,主として世帯調査に基づくものである。世帯収入のデー タを補足するために,ゴム採液による収入,ドリアン収穫による収入の集計調 査のデータを利用する。 本稿の前半部では,ドリアン・タワール村の歴史をたどり,村の人びとの階 層化の過程を明らかにする。そして,世帯調査結果,ゴム採液による収入,ド リアン収穫による収入のデータを用いることによって,「上の人びと」と「下 の人びと」という階層秩序の経済格差を実証する。 後半部では,「世帯の記録」を提示する。私は,調査期間を通して得られた 個々の世帯に関するさまざまな情報を,「世帯の記録」として整理した。「世帯 の記録」は情報が多岐にわたるものであり,本稿で一括して分析することは困 難なものである。むしろ,本稿で強調しているのは,「世帯の記録」を作成す ることによって,私がさまざまな研究テーマを発見していく過程である。「世 帯の記録」を分析することによって,生業の分化と開発の論理,複雑な親族関 係という視点,異種混清性などのテーマが浮かび上がる。この意味で,「世帯 の記録」というのは,オラン・アスリの生活世界の現在を示したものであると 言えよう。 |

| 内容記述 | It is said that there are three main ethnic groups in the Malay Peninsula of Malaysia: the Malays, the Chinese and the Indians. In addition to these ethnic groups, various ethnic minority peoples live in the Malay Peninsula. One of them is the Orang Ash. Many anthropologists have conducted research on the Orang Ash so far. They described the "traditional" life world of the Orang Ash in their ethnographies. However, the Orang Ash have experienced a drastic change in recent years because of the intervention from the outer world: that is, development and Islamization. It is said that the traditional life world of the Orang Ash has rapidly disappeared in the process of "de-culturalization." The purpose of this article is to elucidate the life world of the Orang Ash in the present situation, using the ethnographical data from my fieldwork (1996-1998). The data in this article were obtained mainly by household survey. The data concerning household income are supplemented by the data concerning earnings from rubber tapping and durian harvest. In the first half part of this article, I will sketch the village history of Durian Tawar to explicate the process of social stratification among villagers: a differentiation between "upper people" and "lower people." I will demonstrate income disparities between them, using data from household survey and data concerning earnings from rubber tapping and durian harvest. The second half in this article presents detailed information on each household in numerical order as "Household Memorandum." Having a difficulty in conducting a complete analysis of "Household Memorandum," I shall explain a discovery process of research topics. By drawing up "Household Memorandum," I discovered various research topics; for example, differentiation of occupation, logic of development, complicated kinship relationship, hybridity and so on. Thus, it can be said that "Household Memorandum" shows the present life world of the Orang Ash. |
