| 内容記述 | アムール川下流域から樺太(サハリン)にかけての地域に居住してきた先住 民は,現在,ナーナイ,ウリチ,オロチ,ウデへ,ネギダール,オロキ,エヴ ェンキ,ニヴヒの8つの民族に区分されている。しかし,このような民族分類 と名称が確立したのは1930年代であり,それまでは様々な分類方法と名称が用 いられていた。それは学術的な民族分類だけでなく,その成果を使った行政的 な住民区分でも同様であった。本稿は1850年代にこの地域で本格的な人類学的, 民族学的学術調査が開始されて以来の民族分類の変遷過程を明らかにすること を目的としている。従来の民族学的,歴史学的研究では,しばしば学術上の民 族分類と行政上の民族的範疇との混同が見られ,この地域の先住民史研究の障 害となっていた。そのことへの反省から,本稿では両者を厳密に区別すること から出発し,行政,研究者,そして分類される住民の3者間の関係に焦点を当 てる。それにより,現在の民族分類の学術的な背景と行政を通じたその住民自 身の民族意識への影響を明らかにすることができる。 |

| 内容記述 | Indigenous people of the Lower Amur basin and Sakhalin are now officially classified into the following eight ethnic groups: the Nanais, Ul'chi, Orochi, Udegey, Negidals, Oroks, Evenks, and Nivkhi. However, such a classification was established only in the 1930s. Previously the people had been classified and named in various ways both by ethnologists and administrators. The purpose of this paper is to clarify the history of ethnic classification and categorization of the people of these regions. In previous historical and ethnological studies ethnological ethnic classification and administrative ethnic categories were often confused, and this confusion has been one of the obstacles to the progress of historical study of the indigenous people. In this paper I will strictly distinguish the two and focus on the relation between them and the ethnic identity of the people. |
