| 内容記述 | 映像資料の保存には,記録された映像情報(内容)の保存,そして,映像の 記録媒体(材料)の保存,このふたつの側面がある。ここでは後者に焦点をあ て,映像媒体としての映画フィルムの劣化について,フィルムベース(ニトロ セルロース,アセチルセルロース,ポリエステル)と写真乳剤層(ゼラチン, ハロゲソ化銀,色素)に分け,それぞれの特性と劣化に関する知見をまとめる。 次に,映画フィルムの保存環境について,とくに低温保存と保管容器を中心に 最近の研究の動向を追い,映画フィルムの保存問題に取り組む上での基礎的な 考え方を導き出す。 |

| 内容記述 | When dealing with the conservation of motion picture films, we have to consider two aspects, conservation of information (contents), and that of the film itself. In this article, we deal with the latter. At first, the problem of degradation is discussed for film bases (cellulose nitrate, cellulose acetate, PET) and for the emulsion layer (gelatin, silver halide, dyes). Then, recent researches on the conservation environment are surveyed, focussing on cold storage and on film containers, so as to draw basic and practical conclusions for the conservation of motion picture films. |
