| 内容記述 | 民族学博物館は展示活動以外にも研究成果の社会還元を目的とする催事を開 催する。国立民族学博物館での「研究公演」はその一つで，「世界の諸民族の 音楽や芸能などの公演をとおして，文化人類学・民族学に関する理解を深め」 ることが目的とされる。筆者は通算80 回目の研究公演「ホピの踊りと音楽」 （2012 年3 月20 日）の企画と実務と交渉を担当した。本稿ではその経験をもと に，「季節の踊り（ソーシャルダンス）」と称される米国南西部先住民ホピの儀 礼の組織化と実施に関する民族誌的知見をちりばめながら，公演にまつわる具 体的な実務と交渉の流れをドキュメンテーションするとともに，同時代を生き る招聘者と招聘元の博物館との間で交わされる対話として物語化する。そして この物語を素材として，国立民族学博物館において外国人招聘を伴う催事を実 施する意義を「フォーラムとしてのミュージアム」という観点から考察する。 |

| 内容記述 | Ethnological Museum hosts various special events using research results for the purpose of public relations. In the Japan National Museum of Ethnology (Minpaku), “Special Lectures and Performances” is one. The aim of this event has been defined by Minpaku as deepening understanding of ethnol- ogy and cultural anthropology through performances of music or other public events of the world’s peoples. I was in charge of planning, general affairs, and negotiations for the 80th “Special Lectures and Performances” titled “HOPI social dance and flute music” (March 20, 2012). In this paper, I document proceedings from the standpoint of experience, interspersed with ethnographic knowledge of how the tselew (seasonal dances) of the Hopi of the southwestern United States are organized. I tell the story as a dialogue exchanged between the people conducting research (museum of ethnology) and the people researched (invited performers). On that basis, I will try to redefine the significance of the “Special Lectures and Performances” from the perspective of the idea of “Museum as Forum”. |
