| 内容記述 | 本稿では，オーストラリア中央砂漠におけるアナングの狩猟採集を想起させ る酒の獲得，すなわち「酒狩り」の過程に焦点をあて，規制や批判をかわすた めに重ねられる様々な調整や工夫を分析する。 従来のアボリジニ研究では，アボリジニ飲酒者は「植民地主義の犠牲者」と して描かれ，その行為は文化喪失の言説に還元されてきた。これに対して本稿 では，酒を手に入れようと奔走するアナングの諸行為を「ブラックフェラ・ウェ イ」というアボリジニ独自の選択や決断に関わる議論に照らして，狩猟採集を 装うような創意工夫として読み解く。それらの創意工夫によって人びとはトラ ブルの芽を摘みながら，協力者をみつけ，酒を獲得する。同時に，社会関係を 維持・再生産して自らが逸脱していないことを示す。これらの分析から，酒を 求めるアナングが，社会規範に追従するわけでもなく，かといって自らの飲酒 欲求に翻弄されるのでもなく，両者のバランスをとりながら酒を獲得する術を 編み出していることを指摘する。 |

| 内容記述 | This paper focuses on the process of “liquor hunting,” or the acquisition of Anangu liquor, reminiscent of hunter-gatherers in the Central Australian Desert, and analyzes the various adjustments and innovations that have been layered to fend off regulation and criticism. Conventional Aboriginal studies have portrayed Aboriginal drinkers as “victims of colonialism” and reduced their actions to a discourse of cultural loss. In contrast, this paper reads the Anangu actions of struggling to obtain alcohol as a type of ingenuity that utilizes hunter-gatherer knowledge and skills in light of the “Blackfella Way,” a discussion of unique Aboriginal choices and decisions. Through such creativity, people find collaborators and acquire alcohol while nipping trouble in the bud. At the same time, they maintain and reproduce social relationships and show that they are not deviant. These analyses suggest that Anangu who seek alcohol neither follow social norms nor are at the mercy of their desire to drink but rather strike a balance between the two and develop their own ways of getting alcohol. |
