Despite the fragmentation of their people and ethnic \nspace because of the establishment of the international border and construction of the modern nation-state, this group has maintained ethnic consciousness. Since the 1990s, it has increased exchanges beyond the international \nborder. Transnational exchange that has been achieved in the cultural sphere \nhas developed into system of transnational gift exchange. The network, \nwhich was originally developed in ritual space, has transformed into a multiple network extending beyond the border. However, the transnational gift-exchange involving individuals and groups of different social and cultural backgrounds, such as nationality and community origin, has created discrepancies \namong different parties.
