This paper presents analyses of participatory art\npractices from the viewpoint of inalienability. Participatory art often situates\nthe processes of audience participation or a particular situation as artwork.\nParticipation itself has been a methodology of neither art criticism nor art history.\nFor that reason, critics and theorists alike are puzzled by participatory\nart practices. They are at a loss for how to situate those practices to criticize\nthem. How should such art practices be grasped anthropologically?
