This lack\nof investigation has occurred because, from a teleological perspective, past\nstudies have depicted the vicissitudes of Yanagita’s life to conform to the\nfinal point that he completed Japanese folklore studies.\nFollowing his career, it is readily apparent that he constructed his academic\nlife deliberately and independently while experiencing numerous setbacks\nand changes. In adolescence, he was a poet who wrote romantic poems\nwhile cultivating friendships with many novelists and poets. After studying\nagricultural science at Tokyo Imperial University, he worked as a liberal\nbureaucrat dedicated to the reform of the Japanese agricultural system. In\n1911, he became acquainted with Minakata Kumakusu and began pursuing\nethnology and folklore studies eagerly under his influence. After World War I,\nhe was appointed as a committee member of the League of Nations and was\ndisappointed to witness the arrogance shown by the major powers. After he\nresigned and returned to Japan, he struggled to establish Japanese folklore\nstudies. These experiences in his life made his folklore unique.\nYanagita defined his discipline around 1930 as based on four factors:\ndistinction from adjacent science( i.e. ethnology),establishment of methodology\n(method of collecting data), justification for its role in society, and\ngranting privileges to Japan as a privileged research subject. During 1925–\n1935 British and American anthropologists achieved radical changes in both\ntheory and practice. Nevertheless, Yanagita, who had already completed his\ndefinition of folklore studies, never adopted them. His folklore studies\nbecame a nationalist and closed science that required no reference to neighboring\nsciences and foreign academic trends. In light of this past history, realizing\ndialogue and exchanges with adjacent sciences remains a difficult task\nfor Japanese folklore.","subitem_description_type":"Abstract"}]},"item_10002_identifier_registration":{"attribute_name":"ID登録","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_identifier_reg_text":"10.15021/00008682","subitem_identifier_reg_type":"JaLC"}]},"item_10002_publisher_27":{"attribute_name":"出版者(英)","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_publisher":"National Museum of Ethnology"}]},"item_10002_publisher_8":{"attribute_name":"出版者","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_publisher":"国立民族学博物館"}]},"item_10002_version_type_20":{"attribute_name":"著者版フラグ","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_version_resource":"http://purl.org/coar/version/c_970fb48d4fbd8a85","subitem_version_type":"VoR"}]},"item_creator":{"attribute_name":"著者","attribute_type":"creator","attribute_value_mlt":[{"creatorAffiliations":[{"affiliationNameIdentifiers":[{"affiliationNameIdentifier":"","affiliationNameIdentifierScheme":"ISNI","affiliationNameIdentifierURI":"http://www.isni.org/isni/"}],"affiliationNames":[{"affiliationName":"","affiliationNameLang":"ja"}]}],"creatorNames":[{"creatorName":"Takezawa, Shoichiro","creatorNameLang":"en"},{"creatorName":"竹沢, 尚一郎","creatorNameLang":"ja"},{"creatorName":"タケザワ, ショウイチロウ","creatorNameLang":"ja-Kana"}],"familyNames":[{"familyName":"Takezawa","familyNameLang":"en"},{"familyName":"竹沢","familyNameLang":"ja"},{"familyName":"タケザワ","familyNameLang":"ja-Kana"}],"givenNames":[{"givenName":"Shoichiro","givenNameLang":"en"},{"givenName":"尚一郎","givenNameLang":"ja"},{"givenName":"ショウイチロウ","givenNameLang":"ja-Kana"}],"nameIdentifiers":[{"nameIdentifier":"58","nameIdentifierScheme":"WEKO"},{"nameIdentifier":"1000010183063","nameIdentifierScheme":"CiNii ID","nameIdentifierURI":"http://ci.nii.ac.jp/nrid/1000010183063"},{"nameIdentifier":"10183063","nameIdentifierScheme":"e-Rad","nameIdentifierURI":"https://kaken.nii.ac.jp/ja/search/?qm=10183063"}]}]},"item_files":{"attribute_name":"ファイル情報","attribute_type":"file","attribute_value_mlt":[{"accessrole":"open_date","date":[{"dateType":"Available","dateValue":"2018-01-25"}],"displaytype":"detail","filename":"KH_042_2_02.pdf","filesize":[{"value":"1.3 MB"}],"format":"application/pdf","licensetype":"license_note","mimetype":"application/pdf","url":{"label":"KH_042_2_02","url":"https://minpaku.repo.nii.ac.jp/record/7556/files/KH_042_2_02.pdf"},"version_id":"95c30730-5b47-41de-8b58-e09784f8e9fa"}]},"item_keyword":{"attribute_name":"キーワード","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_subject":"柳田国男|日本民俗学|南方熊楠|農政学|文化ナショナリズム","subitem_subject_scheme":"Other"},{"subitem_subject":"Yanagita Kunio|Folklore studies|Minakata Kumakusu|Agricultural policy","subitem_subject_language":"en","subitem_subject_scheme":"Other"}]},"item_language":{"attribute_name":"言語","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_language":"jpn"}]},"item_resource_type":{"attribute_name":"資源タイプ","attribute_value_mlt":[{"resourcetype":"departmental bulletin paper","resourceuri":"http://purl.org/coar/resource_type/c_6501"}]},"item_title":"ロマンティストであり,リベラリストである : 「柳田国男」の自己創造","item_titles":{"attribute_name":"タイトル","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_title":"ロマンティストであり,リベラリストである : 「柳田国男」の自己創造"},{"subitem_title":"The Making of Yanagita Kunio : From a Romantic Poet and Liberalist Bureaucrat to the Founder of Japanese Folklore Studies","subitem_title_language":"en"}]},"item_type_id":"10002","owner":"17","path":["683"],"pubdate":{"attribute_name":"公開日","attribute_value":"2018-01-25"},"publish_date":"2018-01-25","publish_status":"0","recid":"7556","relation_version_is_last":true,"title":["ロマンティストであり,リベラリストである : 「柳田国男」の自己創造"],"weko_creator_id":"17","weko_shared_id":-1},"updated":"2024-11-19T06:34:10.256479+00:00"}
