In particular, by analysis\nof discourse and practices concerning Tibetan pop lyrics by such participants as singers,\naudiences, old refugees and new refugees, it shows how the Tibetan refugee societies\nhave evolved. At the same time, it criticizes well-known lyric analyses which focus on\nthe contents of lyrics as media to understand social conditions or contexts. Also it seeks\nfor a different kind of analysis, which pays attention to writing lyrics with consideration\nof the social conditions and relationships with the audience.
