 note = {Shirofumitageta or rice field clog is a kind of farming implement in
the shape of a frame. In the cultivation of rice fields, shirofumitageta
is employed for smoothing the surface of the paddy after ploughing.
Generally speaking, it is used for the following purposes:
( 1) Smoothing the surface of the paddy
( 2) Supporting farmers' feet
( 3) Fixing young leaves and grass under the water as fertilizer
This is one of the oldest basic farming implements used in rice
cultivation.
The four forms of shirofumitageta are as follows ; it should be noted
that there is a correlation between form and function.},
