Rivers cross the plateau in\ndeep gorges, which inhibits the formation of extensive alluvial plains\ndownstream. This, in turn, is a major factor that accounts for the\nlack of strong societies with large populations along the littoral of\nsouthern Peru. At the same time, the absence of a strong coastal\nsociety enabled the highlanders to manage effectively an archipelagic\nvertical control as modeled by Murra [1972].\nToday, the dominant type of vertical control on the western\nslope is the specialized one [ONUKI 1978]. Each of the three welldefined\necological zones is occupied by people specialized in its\nexploitation. Most probably there existed formerly a close,\ninterdependent relationship among the three ecological zones, which\nwere linked through trading and barter networks.\nWool industries appeared in the puna in the latter half of the\n19th century, and the advance of truck transportation in the middle\nof the 20th century accelerated the alienation of the puna herders\nfrom the traditionally interdependent, inter-zonal networks. In\nthe kichwa zone, on the other hand, the milk industry established in\n1950s led kichwa farmers, especially to the south of Arequipa, to\nconvert from subsistence pursuits to commercial milk and pastoral\nproduction. Economic changes both in the puna and kichwa\nfacilitated the breakdown of the traditionally interdependent\nnetwork and the inhabitants of both zones became market-oriented.\nThe yunga zone had already dropped-out, probably in the colonial\nperiod, from the system of interdependence. Now the system of\nvertical control is found only in extremely remote places, such as the\nheadwaters of the western slope.\nBut no ecological zone can be self-sufficient, and subsistence\nrequirements must be satisfied through a system of exchange. This\ncan no longer be called vertical control since Andean vertical\ncontrol is a system of exploitation of multiple ecological zones in\nwhich exchange is carried out according to the conventional rate,\nwhich differs from that of the market. - This conventional rate is\nbased on reciprocity which generally underpins all kinds of social,\neconomic, and ritual behavior in the Andes. The true nature of\nAndean vertical control, therefore, should be sought in the local\nconcept of reciprocity.","subitem_description_type":"Abstract"}]},"item_9_identifier_registration":{"attribute_name":"ID登録","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_identifier_reg_text":"10.15021/00004531","subitem_identifier_reg_type":"JaLC"}]},"item_9_publisher_33":{"attribute_name":"出版者","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_publisher":"国立民族学博物館"}]},"item_9_publisher_34":{"attribute_name":"出版者(英)","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_publisher":"National Museum of Ethnology"}]},"item_9_source_id_10":{"attribute_name":"書誌レコードID","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_source_identifier":"AN00091943","subitem_source_identifier_type":"NCID"}]},"item_9_source_id_8":{"attribute_name":"ISSN","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_source_identifier":"0385-180X","subitem_source_identifier_type":"ISSN"}]},"item_9_version_type_16":{"attribute_name":"著者版フラグ","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_version_resource":"http://purl.org/coar/version/c_970fb48d4fbd8a85","subitem_version_type":"VoR"}]},"item_creator":{"attribute_name":"著者","attribute_type":"creator","attribute_value_mlt":[{"creatorNames":[{"creatorName":"大貫, 良夫"},{"creatorName":"オオヌキ, ヨシオ","creatorNameLang":"ja-Kana"},{"creatorName":"Onuki, Yoshio","creatorNameLang":"en"}],"nameIdentifiers":[{}]}]},"item_files":{"attribute_name":"ファイル情報","attribute_type":"file","attribute_value_mlt":[{"accessrole":"open_date","date":[{"dateType":"Available","dateValue":"2015-11-19"}],"displaytype":"detail","filename":"KH_005_1_002.pdf","filesize":[{"value":"10.1 MB"}],"format":"application/pdf","licensetype":"license_note","mimetype":"application/pdf","url":{"label":"KH_005_1_002.pdf","url":"https://minpaku.repo.nii.ac.jp/record/4539/files/KH_005_1_002.pdf"},"version_id":"576d0c61-9aa3-4904-9a91-039c0b9f7d3a"}]},"item_language":{"attribute_name":"言語","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_language":"jpn"}]},"item_resource_type":{"attribute_name":"資源タイプ","attribute_value_mlt":[{"resourcetype":"departmental bulletin paper","resourceuri":"http://purl.org/coar/resource_type/c_6501"}]},"item_title":"南部ペルーのアンデス西斜面における環境利用","item_titles":{"attribute_name":"タイトル","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_title":"南部ペルーのアンデス西斜面における環境利用"},{"subitem_title":"Environmental Exploitation of the Western Slope of the Andes of Southern Peru","subitem_title_language":"en"}]},"item_type_id":"9","owner":"17","path":["486"],"pubdate":{"attribute_name":"公開日","attribute_value":"2010-02-16"},"publish_date":"2010-02-16","publish_status":"0","recid":"4539","relation_version_is_last":true,"title":["南部ペルーのアンデス西斜面における環境利用"],"weko_creator_id":"17","weko_shared_id":-1},"updated":"2023-06-20T19:25:01.995707+00:00"}
