Matsuura's unpublished hand written\nmanuscript, which for the sake of this article, I have entitled\n\"The Illustrated Manuscript of Manners and Customs in Ezo\",\nand in part on other documents written before the mid-Nineteenth\nCentury.\nTakeshiro's manuscript can be considered the most accurate\nand detailed material illustrating the entire life cycle of the\nAinu. It contains the following the descriptions: a legend on\ntheir progenitor, teaching of sexual intercourse, children's play\nand games (and learning the art of life through them), a boy's\nwearing a loincloth for the first time, a boy's wearing a formal\nsapanpe for the first time to enter adulthood, tattooing (a girl's\nbeing tatooed to prepare for marriage), the hot water trial (\njudging a crime by putting one's hands into hot water), marriage\nceremony, civilities, exchange of tobacco, iyomante (a ritual to\nsend back the spirit of bears), treatment of disease and shamanism,\nfuneral rites, burning the house of the departed, and special\nfuneral rites for a person who died an unnatural death.\nAdding upsor (women's loincloth expressing their descent)\nto these descriptions, we can reconstitute the entirety of the rite\nof passage as elucidated by Takeshiro.\nNo Japanese has paid enough attention to the concepts on\ndeath and rebirth of the Ainu, and Takeshiro, too, did not fully\nunderstand them. But what is deserving of special mention is\nthat he clearly stated that there was a social order in Ainu\nsociety, which was in no way inferior to that of Japanese society.\nThe Ainu, in those days, were governed by the Japanese,\nfrom whom they suffered discrimination and exploitation.\nBy trying to publish the manuscript, Takeshiro intended to\ncorrect such a false view of the Ainu, but, unfortunately, his\nambition was not realized.","subitem_description_type":"Abstract"}]},"item_9_identifier_registration":{"attribute_name":"ID登録","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_identifier_reg_text":"10.15021/00004350","subitem_identifier_reg_type":"JaLC"}]},"item_9_publisher_33":{"attribute_name":"出版者","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_publisher":"国立民族学博物館"}]},"item_9_publisher_34":{"attribute_name":"出版者(英)","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_publisher":"National Museum of Ethnology"}]},"item_9_source_id_10":{"attribute_name":"書誌レコードID","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_source_identifier":"AN00091943","subitem_source_identifier_type":"NCID"}]},"item_9_source_id_8":{"attribute_name":"ISSN","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_source_identifier":"0385-180X","subitem_source_identifier_type":"ISSN"}]},"item_9_version_type_16":{"attribute_name":"著者版フラグ","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_version_resource":"http://purl.org/coar/version/c_970fb48d4fbd8a85","subitem_version_type":"VoR"}]},"item_creator":{"attribute_name":"著者","attribute_type":"creator","attribute_value_mlt":[{"creatorNames":[{"creatorName":"大塚, 和義"},{"creatorName":"オオツカ, カズヨシ","creatorNameLang":"ja-Kana"},{"creatorName":"Ohtsuka, Kazuyoshi","creatorNameLang":"en"}],"nameIdentifiers":[{},{},{},{}]}]},"item_files":{"attribute_name":"ファイル情報","attribute_type":"file","attribute_value_mlt":[{"accessrole":"open_date","date":[{"dateType":"Available","dateValue":"2015-11-19"}],"displaytype":"detail","filename":"KH_012_2_005.pdf","filesize":[{"value":"2.5 MB"}],"format":"application/pdf","licensetype":"license_note","mimetype":"application/pdf","url":{"label":"KH_012_2_005.pdf","url":"https://minpaku.repo.nii.ac.jp/record/4358/files/KH_012_2_005.pdf"},"version_id":"40dce5b2-462c-4153-b558-3101cf35bdd7"}]},"item_language":{"attribute_name":"言語","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_language":"jpn"}]},"item_resource_type":{"attribute_name":"資源タイプ","attribute_value_mlt":[{"resourcetype":"departmental bulletin paper","resourceuri":"http://purl.org/coar/resource_type/c_6501"}]},"item_title":"19世紀中葉以前におけるアイヌの通過儀礼 : 松浦武四郎筆画『蝦夷風俗画誌』稿本を中心に","item_titles":{"attribute_name":"タイトル","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_title":"19世紀中葉以前におけるアイヌの通過儀礼 : 松浦武四郎筆画『蝦夷風俗画誌』稿本を中心に"},{"subitem_title":"Reconstitution of the Rite of Passage of the Ainu before the mid Nineteenth Century, based on “The Illustrated Manuscript of Manners and Customs in Ezo”, by Takeshiro Matsuura","subitem_title_language":"en"}]},"item_type_id":"9","owner":"17","path":["457"],"pubdate":{"attribute_name":"公開日","attribute_value":"2010-02-16"},"publish_date":"2010-02-16","publish_status":"0","recid":"4358","relation_version_is_last":true,"title":["19世紀中葉以前におけるアイヌの通過儀礼 : 松浦武四郎筆画『蝦夷風俗画誌』稿本を中心に"],"weko_creator_id":"17","weko_shared_id":-1},"updated":"2023-06-20T19:20:59.045114+00:00"}
