{"created":"2023-06-20T15:59:09.009670+00:00","id":4202,"links":{},"metadata":{"_buckets":{"deposit":"aad1a042-4234-419c-96ef-6e541379312c"},"_deposit":{"created_by":17,"id":"4202","owners":[17],"pid":{"revision_id":0,"type":"depid","value":"4202"},"status":"published"},"_oai":{"id":"oai:minpaku.repo.nii.ac.jp:00004202","sets":["345:427"]},"author_link":["5151"],"item_9_biblio_info_7":{"attribute_name":"書誌情報","attribute_value_mlt":[{"bibliographicIssueDates":{"bibliographicIssueDate":"1995-03-30","bibliographicIssueDateType":"Issued"},"bibliographicIssueNumber":"4","bibliographicPageEnd":"585","bibliographicPageStart":"543","bibliographicVolumeNumber":"19","bibliographic_titles":[{"bibliographic_title":"国立民族学博物館研究報告"},{"bibliographic_title":"Bulletin of the National Museum of Ethnology","bibliographic_titleLang":"en"}]}]},"item_9_description_4":{"attribute_name":"抄録","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_description":"Though undergoing a rapid socio-economic change since the beginning\nof this century, the Nivkh people (Gilyak) of today, who live in the\nnorthern half of Sakhalin Island and at the mouth of the Amour River\non the continent, still maintain to a large extent their traditional way of\nlife, in which fishing and seal-hunting are of paramount importance.\nBased on research conducted intermittently during 1990 to 1993 at\nLuplova (Romanovka) , a small Nivkh village on the northwestern coast\nof Sakhalin, the author describes (1) modern and traditional seal-hunting\nmethods, (2) the utilization of the game (the process of dismembering,\nmeat consumption, fur preparation, oil extraction, etc.), and (3)\nthe ritual of sending back the seal spirit to the sea world.\nThe ethnographical material presented here proves that the Nivkh\ncultural complex related to seal-hunting has a strong consistency (cf.\nKreinovich 1934, 1973) , and shows a close resemblance to those of the\nUilta and the Ainu (cf. Chiri and Yamamoto 1979, etc.) .\nThe author suggests that this resemblance comes from a common\ncultural tradition whose origin can be traced back to the Okhotsk\nCulture, once diffused widely in the area from 8th to 12th centuries.
