{"created":"2023-06-20T15:59:03.375712+00:00","id":4045,"links":{},"metadata":{"_buckets":{"deposit":"13d4fb82-6bd0-46f5-872e-0ebebbd2baba"},"_deposit":{"created_by":17,"id":"4045","owners":[17],"pid":{"revision_id":0,"type":"depid","value":"4045"},"status":"published"},"_oai":{"id":"oai:minpaku.repo.nii.ac.jp:00004045","sets":["345:396"]},"author_link":["15153"],"item_9_biblio_info_7":{"attribute_name":"書誌情報","attribute_value_mlt":[{"bibliographicIssueDates":{"bibliographicIssueDate":"2003-03-24","bibliographicIssueDateType":"Issued"},"bibliographicIssueNumber":"3","bibliographicPageEnd":"607","bibliographicPageStart":"483","bibliographicVolumeNumber":"27","bibliographic_titles":[{"bibliographic_title":"国立民族学博物館研究報告"},{"bibliographic_title":"Bulletin of the National Museum of Ethnology","bibliographic_titleLang":"en"}]}]},"item_9_description_4":{"attribute_name":"抄録","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_description":"　『ジャンガル』は，『元朝秘史』や『ゲセル』と並ぶモンゴル三大文芸作品の\nひとつに数えられているモンゴル英雄叙事詩であり，主として口頭で受け継が\nれてきた。その伝承地域は，新疆（中国），カルムイク（ロシア），モンゴル国\nである。ジャンガルは，この物語の舞台となるアル= ボムビーン= オロンの盟\n主であり，彼には“12勇者”の側近がいると語られている。“12勇者”の「12」\nという数詞は一般に｢12人」という人数を表す数詞とみなされているが，実際\nには12人に満たないことが多く，それ以外にも疑わしい点が多々観察される。\n本論では，信頼できる資料をもとに“12勇者”の表現をすべて検討し，この\n“12勇者”が指示する勇者を特定することを目的とする。考察の結果，「12」は\n数詞ではなく，固有名詞として用いられている場合が認められる。そして，固\n有名詞として用いられる場合，次のような3つの意味を表しているものと考え\nられる。\n1）12人で構成されていてもよいが，基本的に人数とは関係のない「12」\nと呼ばれる集団\n2）「アルタン・チェージという勇者を念頭に置いた集団」とそうでない\n集団のいずれかの集団\n3）アルタン・チェージという個人の勇者\n　以上の考察をふまえてカルムイクジャンガルの学術的に最も信頼できるテキ\nストを眺めると，ここにおいては“12勇者”ではなく，むしろ“6千12勇者”\nという表現が主流であることが観察される。そして，この事実から再び新疆\nジャンガルの“12勇者”表現の現われている箇所を振り返ると，“6千12勇者”\nに対応する“8千12勇者”という表現が存在していたことが確認される。ただ\nし，新疆ジャンガルのテキストの場合，カルムイクジャンガルの場合とは異な\nり，“8千勇者”という表現は“12勇者”と対に現われるよりも，単独で現われ\nる頻度が高い。このことは新疆ジャンガルのテキストで“12勇者”が｢12人の\n勇者」として意識されることと相関関係があるものと考えられる。カルムイク\nジャンガルにおいては2）と3）の用法は確認されないが，新疆ジャンガルの考察\nを応用すると，“6千12勇者”の「12」にアルタン・チェージの暗示をみること\nになる。\n　以上により，“12勇者”の「12」は，一般に理解されているような12人とい\nう人数ではない可能性が高い。アルタン・チェージが「12」で表される理由に\nは，「12」と隣接する「11」か「13」との数字との関連が見込まれる。この場\n合，「11」は，「12」の変形として以外にテキストに現われないので，対象外と\nなる｡それゆえ，対象とされる数字は「12」に隣接するもうひとつの数字「13」\nとなる。そこで，新疆ジャンガルにおける「13」が用いられる表現をすべて\n検討することになる。考察を通して，「13」がある特定の勇者を指示している\n可能性が高いことが明かにされる。アルタン・チェージが「12」で表された背\n景には，通常アルタン・チェージよりも地位が低いと考えられている「13」で\n表される勇者と対比させるためであったと推論される。この場合，アルタン・\nチェージは勇者の序列を示すと考えられる座席において右側の第1席に位置す\nる最高位の勇者であるが，アルタン・チェージと対比させられる「13」で標識\nづけられる勇者は左側の第1席，あるいは右側の第2席に座していることが確認\nされる。\n　モンゴル文化において右側の席は左側の席よりも上位とみなされることを考\n慮に入れると，「13」で標識づけられる勇者は表向き（明示的に）アルタン・\nチェージより地位が低いにも関わらず，アルタン・チェージが「12」で標識づ\nけられることにより，明示的に与えられている席次の序列が逆転し，アルタ\nン・チェージは「13」で表される勇者よりも下位に位置づけられるということ\nになる。したがって，「12」や「13」という隠喩が用いられたのは，物語の表\n層や現実の生活世界における秩序に照らし合わされたときに浮上する反秩序性\nを隠蔽するためであったと結論しうる。","subitem_description_type":"Abstract"},{"subitem_description":"Epic is a special genre of folklore among the numerous Mongolianspeaking\npeoples, one that plays an important role in investigating their culture,\nhistory, and mentality. The Ĵangyar epic, or epic song cycle, about\nĴangyar, the leader of an imaginary state or region called “Aru-Bumba-yin-\nOrun”, is widespread mainly among the western Mongols called Oyirat. It is\nregarded as a literary work on a par with the Secret History of the Mongols\nor the Geser epic.\nĴangyar is accompanied by “arban qoyar”, fi ghting foreign or alien enemies\nby his side. “Arban qoyar” is generally taken to mean “twelve heroes”, and\nthe number twelve has been widely accepted as the actual number of heroes.\nBut there are few statements about their names in the introduction of the seat\ning order of the heroes in the many versions of the Ĵangƒar epic known to us.\nIn fact, often, the names of fewer than twelve heroes are referred to. Usually,\nnot only the number, but also the actual names, as well as the seating order of\nthe heroes differ from one version to another.\nIn this respect, the 17-chapter-Ĵangƒar text transcribed by Taya from\nthe words of Arinpil, a famous Ĵangƒar epic performer in today’s Xinjiang,\nattracts our attention, for it contains precisely the twelve names of the twelve\nheroes in the fi rst chapter. The 17-chapter-Ĵangƒar text is the most reliable\nof the Xinjiang Ĵangƒar texts at the moment, so this fact is signifi cant. However,\ncareful observation shows that one name is repeated. In actual fact, only\neleven heroes are presented.\nIn this paper, I would like to examine what exactly “arban qoyar” indicates.\nFor this purpose, all the passages in the 17-chapter-Jangƒar text that\ncontain “arban qoyar” are scrutinized. This is followed by a detailed examination\nof the ways in which “arban qoyar” is used in various contexts. It is\nconcluded that the number “twelve” in “arban qoyar” can be taken both as\na numeral and as a proper noun. Scholars usually recognize “twelve” as a\nnumeral, but they have not yet examined it as a noun.\nThe usage of “twelve” as a proper noun has three meanings as follows:\n1. a group called “the twelve heroes” consisting of twelve warriors or less.\nThe actual number is fundamentally irrelevant,\n2. a group called “the twelve heroes” who may or may not be under the command\nof Altan čeeĵi,\n3. a hero called “Hero Twelve”, referring to Altan čeeĵi (one of Ĵangƒar’s\nheroes).\nIf we extend this examination to the Kalmyk Ĵangƒar or the 25-chapterĴangƒar\ntext, the most reliable of the Kalmyk Ĵangƒar texts, it is observed that\nthe expression “six thousand and twelve heroes” is used more frequently than\n“arban qoyar”. This fact makes us aware that not only “arban qoyar” but also\n“eight thousand and twelve heroes” appears in the 17-chapter-Ĵangƒar text. It\nis true that expressions of “eight thousand heroes” are used in the 17-chapterĴangƒar\ntext separately from “arban qoyar” for the most part, but this phenomenon\nshows the fact that the “arban qoyar” is treated as a numeral by the\nperformer of the 17-chapter-Ĵangƒar text.\nFrom the Kalmyk Ĵangƒar or the 25-chapter-Ĵangƒar text, however, we\ncannot derive the second and the third meanings of “arban qoyar” mentioned\nabove. Nonetheless, it is possible to read a hint of Altan čeeĵi in the expression\nof “arban qoyar” if we follow the analysis of the 17-chapter-Ĵangƒar text\nadvanced in this paper.\nWe can understand why Altan čeeĵi is used metaphorically, especially if\ncompared with the number “thirteen”. An examination of the usage of “thirteen”\nin the 17-chapter-Ĵangƒar text suggests that this number “thirteen” is\nused as a metaphor for Qongƒur or Güzeen-gümbe, the main warriors in the\nĴangƒar epic. On the one hand, Altan čeeĵi seats himself in the fi rst or the\nmost estimable seat on the right-hand side of Ĵangƒar at all times, and on the\nother hand, warriors labeled “thirteen” are seated either in the fi rst seat on the\nleft-hand side of Ĵangƒar or in the second seat on the right-hand side.\nIn Mongolian culture, the right-hand side is usually more respected than\nthe left. Therefore, according to this tradition, it seems that Altan čeeĵi is\nsuperior to Qongƒur. But the arrangement of two numbers in order of decreasing\nsize allotted to the two worriors indicates that Altan čeeĵi is inferior to\nQongƒur.
