The recent diversification of subsistence and higher\nemployment opportunities among the Land Sama, together with a drastic\ndecrease in coastal resources are the possible major factors. While fishing has\ndeclined to become an unpopular and minor subsistence in the society as a\nwhole, some households have begun low cost fishing such as hand line fishing.\nOthers who once engaged in fishing are now shifting to other related ventures\nsuch as aquaculture of the sea weed agar-agar.\nOn the other hand, all Sea Sama households still engage in fishing as\ntheir major subsistence as they did in the “traditional” age. The major fishing\nmethod among the Sea Sama is net fishing, which needs high economic and\nlabor investment, but produces a larger catch than other fishing methods. Net\nfishing is one of the major “traditional” fishing methods of the Sama. A food\nconsumption survey also revealed that Sea Sama households eat more cassava,\nwhich is recognized as a traditional food by the Sama.\nMy observations also confirmed that the disadvantageous social status\nof the Sea Sama as illegal immigrants or refugees might result in a high performance\nin fishing, since it is an activity which such immigrants can easily\nconduct. Furthermore, based on contracts to produce fish cheaply price\nin exchange for the acquisition of a guarantee called “jalminan”, a stratified\nsocial relation has been formed between the Land Sama fish buyers and\nthe illegal Sea Sama fishermen. However, this social relationship is not similar\nto the patron-client partnership formed between capital and labor, but is\nessentially based on a common language, ethnicity, and culture as Sama, and\nformed at a personal or household level between Land Sama and Sea Sama.","subitem_description_language":"en","subitem_description_type":"Abstract"}]},"item_9_identifier_registration":{"attribute_name":"ID登録","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_identifier_reg_text":"10.15021/00003960","subitem_identifier_reg_type":"JaLC"}]},"item_9_publisher_33":{"attribute_name":"出版者","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_publisher":"国立民族学博物館","subitem_publisher_language":"ja"}]},"item_9_publisher_34":{"attribute_name":"出版者(英)","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_publisher":"National Museum of Ethnology","subitem_publisher_language":"en"}]},"item_9_source_id_10":{"attribute_name":"書誌レコードID","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_source_identifier":"AN00091943","subitem_source_identifier_type":"NCID"}]},"item_9_source_id_8":{"attribute_name":"ISSN","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_source_identifier":"0385-180X","subitem_source_identifier_type":"ISSN"}]},"item_9_version_type_16":{"attribute_name":"著者版フラグ","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_version_resource":"http://purl.org/coar/version/c_970fb48d4fbd8a85","subitem_version_type":"VoR"}]},"item_creator":{"attribute_name":"著者","attribute_type":"creator","attribute_value_mlt":[{"creatorAffiliations":[{"affiliationNames":[{}]}],"creatorNames":[{"creatorName":"Ono, Rintaro","creatorNameLang":"en"},{"creatorName":"小野, 林太郎","creatorNameLang":"ja"},{"creatorName":"オノ, リンタロウ","creatorNameLang":"ja-Kana"}],"nameIdentifiers":[{},{},{},{}]}]},"item_files":{"attribute_name":"ファイル情報","attribute_type":"file","attribute_value_mlt":[{"accessrole":"open_date","date":[{"dateType":"Available","dateValue":"2015-11-19"}],"displaytype":"detail","filename":"KH_031_4_003.pdf","filesize":[{"value":"5.2 MB"}],"format":"application/pdf","licensetype":"license_note","mimetype":"application/pdf","url":{"label":"KH_031_4_003.pdf","url":"https://minpaku.repo.nii.ac.jp/record/3968/files/KH_031_4_003.pdf"},"version_id":"717ac971-8360-4402-9ab4-db67394141b6"}]},"item_keyword":{"attribute_name":"キーワード","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_subject":"東南アジア海域世界|ボルネオ島|サマ|漁撈活動|伝統|近代化","subitem_subject_scheme":"Other"}]},"item_language":{"attribute_name":"言語","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_language":"jpn"}]},"item_resource_type":{"attribute_name":"資源タイプ","attribute_value_mlt":[{"resourcetype":"departmental bulletin paper","resourceuri":"http://purl.org/coar/resource_type/c_6501"}]},"item_title":"ボルネオ島サマ人による漁撈の「近代化」と「伝統」 : 陸サマと海サマによる漁撈の比較をとおして","item_titles":{"attribute_name":"タイトル","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_title":"ボルネオ島サマ人による漁撈の「近代化」と「伝統」 : 陸サマと海サマによる漁撈の比較をとおして","subitem_title_language":"ja"},{"subitem_title":"“Tradition” and “Modernity” in Fishing among the Sama, Eastern Coast of Borneo, Malaysia","subitem_title_language":"en"}]},"item_type_id":"9","owner":"17","path":["379"],"pubdate":{"attribute_name":"PubDate","attribute_value":"2010-02-16"},"publish_date":"2010-02-16","publish_status":"0","recid":"3968","relation_version_is_last":true,"title":["ボルネオ島サマ人による漁撈の「近代化」と「伝統」 : 陸サマと海サマによる漁撈の比較をとおして"],"weko_creator_id":"17","weko_shared_id":-1},"updated":"2023-10-04T04:55:16.715792+00:00"}
