The purpose of this paper\nis to report on this project and the result of the collection review. Firstly,\nthe relationships between Native Americans and ethnological museums are\nreviewed, focusing on the collection, display, and repatriation of items to the\nindigenous source community. Next, introducing the function of the “Tribal\nMuseum” owned by the Native Americans, and its social roles in the community,\nI illustrate the significance of an alternative way of repatriation as well as\nof re-constructing the relationships between the source community and ethnological\nmuseums.
