According to context that contest can\ntake many forms, but this paper, written as part of the Minpaku project on\n“anthropology of the streets,” deals with a particularly literal form of street\ncontestation: that which occurs between homeless people and other players in\nthe urban environment—mainstream society and the city authorities.
