民族誌博物館のデコロナイゼーション : ヨーロッパと日本の博物館コレクションの形成をふまえて Decolonisation of Ethnographic Museums : Formation of Museum Collections in Europe and Japan Iida, Taku 飯田, 卓 イイダ, タク Africa｜Benin bronze｜Japanese Society of Ethnology｜Keizo Shibusawa｜collection アフリカ ｜ベニン・ブロンズ｜日本民族学会｜渋沢敬三｜収集 本稿では，「博物館のデコロナイゼーション」とりわけ民族誌コレクション のデコロナイゼーションをどのように進めていけばよいのかを論じる。それを 考察するため，（1）欧米各国とアフリカ地域とのあいだでおこなわれている博 物館資料の帰属の問題を整理して示し（第 2 章），（2）国立民族学博物館を中 心とした日本の民族誌コレクションの成立の経緯を検討した（第 3 章）。（1） については，欧米側でも国によって対応が多様であること，いったん議論が始 まれば第三者がアフリカ側の声を無視できなくなるため，高度に発展した情報 環境においては真摯な対話が要求されることを示した。（2）については，東京 大学と保谷民博（文部省史料館），日本万国博覧会世界民族調査収集団のそれ ぞれのコレクションが多様な収集方法によって成りたっているため，ひとつひ とつの来歴を特定していくことがデコロナイゼーションにつながることを示し た。結論部では，調査研究プロセスをつうじてソースコミュニティの人びとと の信頼関係を深めることと，その文化を再総合するという目的を押しつけにな らないよう共有すること，そして時間をかけて対話と協働を重ねることを，日 本の博物館に提案する。 This article discusses how “decolonisation of the museum” can be achieved, especially in terms of decolonisation of ethnographic collections. Therefore, this article (1) demonstrated the actual issues on ownership and stewardship discussed between Euro-American state governments and African states and communities (Chapter 2), and (2) analyzed the process of formation of Japanese ethnographic collections, notably those stored at the National Museum of Ethnology, Osaka (Chapter 3). Concerning (1), the responses of Euro-American countries differ according to state; however, once the discussions open, they become obliged to have sincere dialogues with African actors because third parties cannot neglect them in the highly developed information and communication technology environment. Regarding (2), deep identification of collection provenances leads to decolonisation, given that all of the University of Tokyo, Hoya Museum (Department of Historical Documents, National Institute of Japanese Literature), and Expo-70-Ethnological-Mission’s collections were formed through various collecting activities.
